Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time, where you'll meet your Tour Leader and group at a welcome meeting before heading out to dinner.

Day 2 – 4: Siem Reap
We’ll travel overland to Siem Reap, Cambodia today. It takes about 8 hours in total but the views are remarkable along the way, so have your camera ready!

We'll then have another two full days in Cambodia to experience the wonders of Angkor Wat - which is home to some of the most spectacular temples in the world. You'll also be able to see some of the other sights the region has to offer - the floating village, national museum, or you could even explore the countryside on quad bike or learn how to cook some delicious Cambodian cuisine.

In the evenings we'll take you to the best restaurants for optional dinners, including a brilliant one with a cultural Apsara dance show. There's plenty of time on the tour to do your own thing if you'd prefer to!

Day 5 – 6: Sihanoukville
We’ll travel by private bus from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville, which takes about 10 hours so we’ll leave early in the morning. But don’t worry because we’ll make sufficient and interesting stops along the way making for an exciting journey...choices include a visit to a bamboo sticky rice cake making workshop or Spider town (harbouring…you guessed it, tarantulas!!) We’ll also stop for a delicious lunch and wil' arrive at the beach mid-afternoon.

On the second day, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in one of the many local activities – try visiting waterfalls, or taking a trip out to one of the nearby islands to enjoy a great day of snorkelling in the beautiful clear blue waters.

In the evenings, enjoy Sihanoukville’s night life and join in on optional dinners with your group and later visit some of the many local bars for a game of pool, a cocktail or 10, up to you, or just let loose on the dance floor!

Day 7: Home stay
Today we’ll leave journey to our home stay out in the countryside. You’ll have the unique opportunity to integrate with the local community and learn about their culture and history. We'll take a village tour and then can hit the local waterfall for a swim - riding on an ox-cart to get there for a truly Cambodian experience! We can also visit a bat cave, learn to make local handicrafts, or relax at the local swimming spot.

Day 8 – 9: Phnom Penh
We’ll spend the morning at the home stay and do any activities we didn’t have time for yesterday! After a delicious local lunch we’ll jump back on the bus to travel to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Once in Phnom Penh, you will have two days to explore. A trip to the Tuol Sleng prison and Choeung Ek Killing Fields are a must in order to understand the shocking recent history of Cambodia. Whilst the gruesome modern history of Cambodia should be remembered and respected, there are many other places to visit in Phnom Penh; you could take a tour out to the nearby country on a quad bike where you can visit temples, lakes, plantations, or a wildlife centre. Or practice your aim at the nearby shooting range where you can choose from a plethora of weapons, or why not visit the National Museum, Royal Palace or Russian Market or take a Cyclo tour around the city, finishing at the riverside to enjoy drinks at dusk.

Day 10: Departure Day
Day 10 is our departure day and you’re free to leave any time you wish. We can help you with suggestions for onward travel arrangements, or if you don’t want the adventure to end, why not continue the journey with some of your group on our 12 day Vietnam adventure, or 23 day Vietnam and Laos adventure?
